Vaishali has done her Master diploma in Journalism from Symbiosis and Masters in English Literature from the University of Rajasthan. She has recently also secured a Certificate in Contemporary British Fiction through an online course run by the Oxford University.
She started her career as a journalist with the Indian Express and The Times of India.
At Penguin she started the Penguin Metro Reads (commercial fiction) and Penguin Ananda (Mind Body Spirit) imprints. She then took up language publishing and Rights.
Currently, she is Publisher, Indian languages and handles the Hindi list and continues to publish in the English list as well. Her noted authors are Sadhguru, Gaur Gopal Das, Ravinder Singh, Durjoy Datta, Narendra Kohli and Surendra Mohan Pathak.
