Shri Temjen Imna Along, son of Late Imnasashi Longkumer, was born on 25th November 1980 in Mokokchung, Nagaland, India. An Indian by nationality, he belongs to the Ao Naga tribe, a Scheduled Tribe, and practices Christianity. Currently unmarried, Shri Temjen Imna Along resides at MH-10, Old Minister Hill, Kohima, Nagaland-797001. He began his education at Don Bosco School, Dimapur (NBSE), and later pursued his Pre-University studies at City College of Arts & Commerce, Dimapur.
Organizational Responsibility
Shri Temjen Imna Along has been an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) since 2011 and has held various significant roles within the organization. From (June 2018 to September 2023), he served as the President of BJP Nagaland. Prior to this, he was the Convener of the Finance and Development Committee of BJP Nagaland from July 2017 to June 2018 and also served as a State Executive Member of BJP Nagaland. Additionally, he was appointed as a member of the Fertilizer Advisory Forum by the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India.

Shri Temjen Imna Along was elected as the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in March 2018 and held the portfolio of HIGHER EDUCATION, TECHNICAL EDUCATION, AND TRIBAL AFFAIRS as a Minister in the Government of Nagaland until February 2023.
Re-elected to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly in March 2023, Shri Temjen Imna Along currently holds the portfolio of TOURISM AND HIGHER EDUCATION.
