
Sujata Prasad is an author, art columnist, curator, and heritage
conservationist. A former civil servant, she is currently an
advisor to the National Gallery of Modern Art, and serves as an expert on the Department of Science and Technology’s Scientific Advisory Committee for Heritage Research. She is a member of the governing board of the Institute of Human Development, and part of the Asia-Pacific chapter of the World Crafts Council. Sujata is the author of several books, the most recent being an acclaimed biography of Jayaprakash Narayan. Her long essay on Rahul Sankrityayan is part of a seminal 2023 anthology on Himalayan Mystics and Sceptics published by Harper Collins. She is the editor of the National Gallery of Modern Art’s newly launched journal of Art and Aesthetics and many important museum publications.
