Sasmit Patra is an Indian politician and a member of the Biju Janata Dal. Since 28 June 2019, he is the member of the Parliament of India representing Odisha in the Rajya Sabha, the upper house and appointed as chief whip of the party. He is currently Spokesperson of Biju Janata Dal.
