Dr. Manjula Pooja Shroff, the MD and CEO of Kalorex, has been instrumental in founding and managing several premier educational institutions and initiatives in India. She is a name synonymous to education.
Under its umbrella Kalorex has 60+ institutions which includes Delhi Public Schools, Calorx Olive International School at Ahmedabad, and Kalorex Future Schools across the Western Belt of India to name a few. Having empowered 1,00,000 + students and having enriched 4000 plus educators, the journey continues with passion and perseverance.
Dr. Shroff’s commitment to the marginalized society and those with special learning needs is evident through her initiatives—Visamo Kids Foundation, a school for underprivileged and Prerna for students with special learning needs.
An Executive Alumni from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) & London School of Economics (LSE), she is an author, columnist, vlogger, life coach and Edupreneur. She is a recipient of several awards; notable among them are the prestigious “Secular India Award” from the President of India and the “Woman of the Year” award by the American Bibliography Society, North Carolina.
With a vision to leverage technology in Learning, the Kalorex Group has launched Dr. Shroff’s Artificial Intelligence (AI) avatar and clone “Maya” aiding in content creation and connecting to a wider range of students and parents. With Dr. Shroff as the brain behind this feat, Kalorex has emerged as one of the pioneers in introducing AI to the educational sector of India, far ahead of the times, an accomplishment that only a few can think of achieving.
Dr. Shroff is also an accomplished author. Her books ‘Baby Steps to Big Dreams’ and ‘Safe Teen Steps’ are used by more than 9000 Educators and Schools in the country towards parenting solutions. She has also been deeply involved with state and central policy committees working on the implementation of NEP 2020. Kalorex, under her leadership, developed a detailed NEP implementation strategy report, which has been shared with various stakeholders, including Education Ministries, Departments of Education and school principals across the country.
Dr. Shroff was the part of the 18th International Human Rights Summit of the United Nations in New York. During the event, she promoted dialogues of peace, empathy and unity to create a positive societal impact on younger generations. In 2023, she spoke at a session organized as part of the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) in Dubai where she discussed the critical significance of education in developing environmental consciousness and sustainable behaviors in the next generation. Also, she was a speaker and participant at the 37th edition of the Academic Council of United Nations Systems (ACUNS), at Tokyo, Japan. Dr. Shroff was also invited to speak at the Department of Education International (DEi) conference at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre in Australia. In October 2024, she participated in the Business 20 (B20) Summit in Brazil. The B20 summit is the official G20 dialogue forum for the global business community.
