
Laxman Gamnage (born 29 Poush 2021 B.S. / January 12, 1965, in Menatar, Samchi, Bhutan) is a renowned Nepali writer known for his humorous and satirical poetry. The fourth child of Chidananda Bhattarai and Laxmi Bhattarai, he began dabbling in satire during his school days and started publishing his works around 2043 B.S. His writings became regular in satirical magazines like Rocket and Chadkan, which he also edited. In 2055 B.S., he co-founded Sisnu Pani Nepal, significantly elevating both the quality and prominence of his work. Since 2057 B.S., he has been a regular columnist for national dailies including Himalaya Times and Annapurna Post. In 2063 B.S., he launched the popular column Jhatro in Nepal Saptahik (Kantipur Publications), which he continues to write to this day. Gamnage is currently the president of Sisnu Pani Nepal.
