Lalit Kumar is a Fellow at Nehru Memorial Museum & Library (NMML), Teen Murti House, New Delhi. He teaches English at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya College, University of Delhi. His articles have appeared in many national dailies such as The Hindu, The Indian Express and The Times of India. Some of his publications include the English co-translation of the Hindi bestseller Twelfth Fail (HarperCollins, 2022), translation of the classic Maithili novel Kanyadan as The Bride (HarperCollins, 2023), and a co-edited volume titled Amaranatha Jha: Selected Essays on Literature, Languages and University Education (Sahitya Akademi, forthcoming). He won the Kalinga Literary Festival (KLF) Book Award for his English translation of Kanyadan. At present, he is working on a political biography of Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and an English translation of Nagarjun’s novel Ratinath ki Chachi
