
Santosh Panta is a veteran Nepali actor, director, and comedian best known as the creator of the legendary sitcom Hijo Aja Ka Kura, which ran for 13 years with 699 episodes and later revived with 117 more episodes on Kantipur Television. Starting his acting journey at the age of 7, he became a pioneering figure in Nepali television comedy, providing a platform for renowned artists. Panta has also directed and acted in films, theater, Gaijatra performances, and served in the Nepalese Army’s cultural division, creating impactful shows such as Matole Magdaina, Affaile Dinu Parcha. His contribution to Nepali comedy was further recognized as a judge of the reality show Comedy Champion, cementing his role in nurturing and shaping Nepal’s comic and performing arts.
