Aditya Nayak is a journalist, proofreader, and translator. He translates from Odia to English and vice versa. He is known for his English translation, Fragments of a Diary (Diaryra Kiyadansha), of the 110-year-old Odia travelogue written by an eminent essayist and short story writer Jalandhar Dev. He has translated two critical essays in Odia into English, which has been included in a volume brought out by Routledge titled Critical Discourse in Odia. One of his translated stories has been included in a book titled Medical Maladies by Haris Qadeer was published by Niyogi Books. His English translation of Gopinath Mohanty’s Utkalamani (The Gem of Utkal) has been published by Odisha Sahitya Academy. His English translation of Former Indian Ambassador to Madagascar, Mr Abasar Beuria titled From Myanmar to Madagascar: A Journey of a Diplomat has been published by Author’s Press, New Delhi in 2022.
Niyogi Books, New Delhi, has commissioned him to write a Biography of Biju Patnaik. He was invited by the Govt. of Karnataka and Central Institute for Indian Languages as a language expert to develop a dictionary. He also served at Sahitya Akademi, New Delhi as the Editorial Assistant. He also worked at the International Institute of Information Technology, Bhubaneswar as Project fellow for the Govt. of India project on machine translation.
